Stylin' Snowfolk Hubby Card

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and Santa was good to you.  I was spoilt with some lovely new Stampin' Up! goodies.  Well it would have been wrong of me not to have prepared my own wish list!!  Hee Hee.

This is the card I made for my hubby.  As I've said before he likes cartoony or humourous.  Stampin' Up!'s Stylin' Snowfolk fit the bill.

I stamped one body in Marina Mist then masked it before stamping the second to make them cuddle up.  Then it was just a case of dressing them up.  My snow lady is dressed in the very fashionable Melon Mambo hat with Perfect Plum flower and Basic Rhinestone.  Her scarf  and snowman's bow tie are Cherry Cobbler.  Mr snowman's top hat is Marina Mist and both hats are popped up on dimensionals.  The panel is mounted onto Night of Navy before attaching to a Bashful Blue and Whisper White card base.  I used the little snowflake in Bashful Blue on the main panel and background.  Merry Christmas is from More Merry Messages and To my Husband is from For the Family.  I punched out the second with the Decorative Label Punch.

Thanks for your visit.  I'm hoping to get round everyone for a catch up in the lull of the festivities.  x

Two hearts in Tune

Hi there

So nice of you to visit during this busy time.

My card today is for two challenges - Less is More - Anniversary and
Dynamic Duos - Black and Gold with an option of Music

The idea for my card has been buzzing about for a few days amongst everything else!!

I used my Music Notes Wheel to create a musical background for my punched heart.  I corner rounded the Whisper White panel.  Now if I said to you this card has something Christmassy on it, can you guess what it is???...

Yes it's the second heart!  I stamped and embossed in gold one of the lovely Ornament Keepsakes then punched out the centre with the Full Heart Punch.  I love the scroll pattern on this and it looks stunning as a gold embossed ornament too!  I added a Basic Pearl and then a simple sentiment in Basic Black from Pennant Parade.  The Whisper White panel is popped up on Dimensional and the Basic Black card base gives a classy feel.

Only two more days and the kids will be off for Christmas, so much still to do!  I'll dash of now and hopefully be round to visit you later.  Take care x

Stampin' Up!'s Frosty Friends

A big welcome to my new follower, Sudha.  Thanks so much for choosing to follow me and I hope to see you visiting often!

Here I am running late for CAS - Colours and Sketches again.  I didn't get round to joining in the colour challenge last week so definitely wanted to join in with the sketch.  A big thank you to the ladies for choosing my card as Top Pick for week 1.  I was so thrilled!

Here's this week's sketch -

You must think I only have snowmen stamp sets with a couple of baubles thrown in for good measure.  I don't but I'm so enjoying using these stamp sets and Stampin' Up!'s Frosty Friends seemed a super match for this sketch.  I did use a new embossing folder to me - Petals a Plenty.  I've loved this folder when I've seen it on other blogs.

I've started with a card base of Garden Green and added a panel of Whisper White.  The ribbon tag is Cherry Cobbler embossed with the Petals a Plenty Folder.  It gives a deep rich emboss.  I stamped my Frosty Friends in Night of Navy and coloured with the Regals Stampin' Write Markers.  I love colouring with the brush tip it's just like using a paint brush.  This was then matted onto another panel of Garden Green.  The panel was popped up on Dimensionals.

Don't you love the font of the sentiment?  It's from More Merry Messages and was stamped in Night of Navy.

This was a commission request from my husband to give to his colleagues.  Cartoony was the only clue he gave me!  Hope they like them.

Can you believe Christmas is next week?  Thanks for coming in by. x

Christmas Blessings Trio of Ornament Keepsakes

Case this Sketch

My card today follows the the sketch at Case this sketch and the colours from the current ColourQ challenge.  The colours are a combo I wouldn't have chosen myself but look fab together.

The sketch just said Christmas ornaments to me so that's what I went with.  I used scored lines for my baubles to hang from using my scoring tool.  So I'm also going to pop this into CAS-ual Fridays: Even the Score - CFC82: Create a CAS project that features scoring...
and no, the fold on your card does not count *wink*

So quite a lot going on for a CAS card!

Colour Q
My sentiment comes from the wonderful More Merry Messages.

Honest I haven't been at the wine tonight (well maybe a small glass!) but my blog post photos have a life of their own!!

Happy Holidays from Stampin' Up!

I'm so chuffed with these little tags.  I stamped Frosty Friends from Stampin' Up! and coloured then cut into 3.  They were originally destined for a card but I was so behind with my tags they fell onto these instead.  I used More Merry Messages to add a little sentiment.  The star and snowflakes were from my stash.  To round the top of your tag, cut the tag so the width is narrower than the 2 1/2" Circle punch.  Then slide one end in and punch.  They just need a little ribbon or silver thread to finish them off.

I'm starting to feel so Christmassy as jobs are gradually being ticked off.

So I thought I'd share a Christmas message from Stampin' Up! with you.  I'm sure you'll be singing along and having a chuckle at the same time.  Do have a look it's fun to watch.

Pick a Square with Stampin' Up!

I had loads of fun making this card for my Aunt to give to her son.  I started with a Perfect Plum Card base and made square mats out of Elegant Eggplant.  I then added a further mat of Crumb Cake.  The Whisper White tops were punched out using the Square Punch and Curly Label Punch.

Each square is decorated with different stamps from the following sets - Stylin' Snowfolk, Mixed Medley, Snow Much Fun, More Merry Messages, Four Seasons, and Pennant Parade.

I added some dimension and sparkle using Dimensionals for the punched circles and Silver Glimmer Paper.

It was so much fun to make all these little squares.  You can really let your creative juices flow.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges

Snow Much Fun Christmas Tag

Another tag to share with you today.  I've used Stampin' Up's Snow Much Fun on Crumb Cake.  I then coloured him in with my Watercolour Pencils.  I stamped a sentiment from More Merry Messages

I've had a little production line going with making tags.  So I'll have more to show in the next few days.  I'm definitely going to have to start earlier next year!  Probably in January!!

I'd like to enter my card into CASology which has a cue card of gift.

Aren't gifts more delightful with a lovely tag on them?

Also I'd like to enter this in the Craft Room Challenge - Make a Tag

Thanks for popping in past and I hope your Christmas preparations are going well. x

Snow Much Fun Spinner Card

I had "Snow Much Fun" making this card for my Aunt to give to her grandson.  It's my first spinner card.  Just look at that naughty snowman.  He's throwing a huge snowball at the other one to knock his hat off!  And he has another one on stand by!!

I used my word Window punch to create the run for the snowman and stamped the snowball minus the bird.  I've coloured my snow men with Stampin' Write Markers from the Regals collection, also Bashful Blue and Marina Mist.  "Grandson" is from For my Family.  My go to set when I need to put a name on a card. I added some Cherry Cobbler  Dazzling Details to their hats and scarf.  So not a less is more card!!  But so fun.

A big Hello to my new followers.  Thanks so much for following my little blog.  x

Snowy Lovely as a Tree

My entry for Less is More, all in a row, is another Lovely as a Tree card.  I stamped my pine tree in Old Olive then stamped again slightly off set in Versamark and embossed in white.  I love the snowy effect of my row of pine trees.  I then added my sentiment form More Merry Messages in Old Olive.  I thought the card needed a little pop of colour so added this cute little Robin in Real Red from the Stylin' SnowFolk set.  I added some Old Olive to his stripey hat with a Stampin' Write Marker.

Our snow is finally washing away with the rain.  I wonder if that's the last of it or will we have a white christmas?  Keep cosy. x

Fancy receiving a complete collection of inks from Stampin' Up!?  Check out our Ink-credible promotion but don't delay it finishes on the 16th!

Running late with Lovely as A Tree

Must be just minutes to go before CAS - colours and sketches closes.  So if you dont mind I'll update this later.

Phew think I made it!

The colours were Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip and here's the sketch -

I needed to make a birthday card for my father so these colours really suited.  Quite masculine I thought.  For the squares I've made a patterned background using the little pine cone from Lovely as a Tree.  The background mat is from the Brights paper stack and the base is Chocolate Chip.  My sentiment is from the retired Happiest Birthday Wishes and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I used my square punch to make a ribbon tag and added a button from the neutrals set to one end.  Don't know what my Dad will make of the button but I think it looks quite nice.

So a nice change from all the christmas projects.  We have proper snow now.  Hope it's ok where you are. x

Snow Much Fun throwing snowballs!

Oooh a second post from me today.  That's really unusual for me but I so wanted to join in with CASe this sketch this week which closes in a few hours.

Isn't this a super sketch?

I've used my naughty little snowman from Snow Much Fun throwing snowballs for this card.  He's stamped in Marina Mist and coloured with the In Colours Stampin' Write Markers.  I also used my Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker for the snow.  The sentiment is from More Merry Messages and stamped in Marina Mist.  I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch for my trim.

I popped all my panels up on Dimensionals for a little extra added interest. I love how clean and crisp this looks.

Stay cosy. x

Frosty Friends Tag

A Frosty Friends tag to share today, and it's been frosty and snowy up here over the weekend.  Not enough to build a snowman, maybe just a snowball but it is now all slushy.

Over at CAS-ual Fridays it's all about gift tags.  This is exactly what I need just now as I'm busy wrapping presents.

My tag is a Crumb Cake base with Frosty Friends stamped in Basic Black then coloured with my Stampin' Up! Watercolour pencils. I made a ribbon tag for my sentiment from More Merry Messages

I'm hoping to get most of my wrapping finished today so will need plenty more of these!  We did get our decorations all done on Saturday.  Unfortunately before I got a pic of my tree the bottom set of lights decided to give up.  The top half is very sparkly and bright though!!

Some exciting news from Stampin' Up!.  The newly designed, by paper crafters for paper crafters, Stampin' Trimmer is now available to purchase.  I can't wait to order mine.   No more marks rubbing off and a bigger base for cutting.  Check out this video from Stampin' Up! to see all the fab features.

Sparkly Glimmery Bauble

A quick card today.  My house is about to get all festive.  Well it is the first of December!!

The Less is More challenge this week is Red and Green.

I've used a Whisper White card base with a popped up panel embossed with Perfect Polka Dots.  I punched out a bauble shape using one of the Holiday Ornament Framelits. A little sparkly green ribbon finishes it off.

Now where are those decorations and tree?  It's a trip up to the loft for me!  Stay cosy. x

Edit:  ooops silly me I also had another challenge in mind for this card - Addicted to CAS which has a code word of Bauble.
I've also noticed Dynamic Duos this week is Certainly Celery and Real Red so I'd like to put this in there too.
